DAINESE GUANTO FULL METAL D1
Italian motorgear manufacturer Dainese has collaborated with many racing champions over the years. The experience Dainese gained from these partnerships has led to the development of most high-end racing glove Dainese has got to offer: the Dainese Guanto Full Metal D1.
Born and Bred for racing, Dainese's Full Metal D1 gloves boost the same great set of features found in the Full Metal RS gloves but they offer even more in terms of protection. Built for MotoGP level racing these glove will serve even the most demanding riders well. These Full Metal D1 Gloves are made out of durable cowhide leather and Kevlar jersey for protection. Dainese added Goatskin leather to the palms of its Full Metal D1 gloves to ensure maximum grip on the throttle. Furthermore these gloves feature elasticated inserts to ensure these gloves form to the shape of your hand. This array of materials is stitched together with durable, tear-resistant DuPont Kevlar fiber stitching. Just like Dainese's Full Metal RS gloves, these Full Metal D1 gloves are (almost) unique in the way in which they offer their wearer protection. Dainese fused some of the strongest and lightest materials known to mankind into the protective armor of these gloves. Titanium and carbon fiber inserts for example are placed on the knuckles, back of the hand and on the finger joints of these gloves. Another great protective feature is the addition of Thermoplastic inserts around the wrist area which minimize the chance of bone-fracture in case of an accident. To finish it all off, Dainese included soft inserts(padding) into the design of its Full Metal D1 gloves. A “safety” feature commonly found in riding gloves is that the little finger and ring finger have been stitched together. So if you do fall of your bike you’ll break not one but two fingers. Dainese truly solved the underlying problem(preventing the little finger from breaking) by inventing their “distortion control” system. This is a polyurethane insert at the base of the little finger which prevents it from unnatural twisting. Dainese also added this system to its Full Metal D1 racing gloves. The wearing comfort of these gloves is enhanced through perforations of the fabric on the inner side of each finger. These take care of ventilation on hot summer days. The cuff can be adjusted through an adjustment strap, and last but not least the fingers of these Full Metal D1 are pre-curved.
